The Road to Ulta, Part Three: Launch & Celebration

If Part One was about the dream, and Part Two was about the grind—Part Three is all about the joy.

After nine months of planning, perfecting, and preparing, our OCOA x Ulta Beauty launch finally came to life—and it was everything we dreamed of and more.

In August, we celebrated a historic moment: becoming the first Dominican-owned hair care brand at Ulta Beauty. A milestone that still gives us chills every time we say it. This launch was about more than products on shelves—it was about representation, pride, and opening doors for our community.

Launch Month: A Celebration to Remember

We kicked things off with an intimate launch dinner, surrounded by friends, supporters, and amazing hermanas who’ve been an inspiration to us since our early days. It was an emotional evening—filled with gratitude, laughter, and tears (the happy kind!) as we reflected on how far we’ve come since those early days dreaming about this moment.

Then came our favorite part—celebrating IRL with our community. We brought la casita OCOA to life with two unforgettable events in Lancaster and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Meeting our hermanas and hermanos face-to-face, hearing your stories, and seeing your curls in person was pure magic. Each smile, hug, and conversation reminded us why we do this: to celebrate our curls con orgullo.

What’s Next

As we continue to grow with Ulta Beauty, we’re already dreaming up what’s next. We’re working hard to bring OCOA to even more shelves—and more cities—so we can celebrate together again soon.
