Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month 2024

As we wrap up October, we’re looking back on an unforgettable Hispanic Heritage Month 2024 with hearts full of gratitude and energy! These past few weeks have been packed with celebration, connection, and reflection on our roots—and we couldn’t have done it without you. 

We kicked things off at L'Attitude in San Diego, where we had the chance to meet so many incredible hermanas in real life. The kind words you shared, the on-the-spot curly transformations, and your follow-up emails after meeting in person completely recharged our spirits. You are the reason we do what we do!

But that was just the beginning. Throughout the month, we joined forces with Live Nation, Salesforce, and Prompt ERG to connect with our community in meaningful ways. Each event felt like a celebration of our shared heritage, and we were so honored to be a part of it all.

One of the most exciting highlights this year? Our TV debut on the TODAY Show! We were featured during the #WeAllGrowLatina Hispanic Heritage Month segment, where Ana Flores, Founder and Chairwoman of WAG shared OCOA's story with an even wider audience. Being able to showcase our mission and heritage on such a major platform was truly a dream come true. Thank you to Ana and the entire WAG familia for this tremendous honor. 

We were also featured in a Chase for Business spotlight, where we shared more about OCOA and the journey we’ve been on to uplift curly-haired hermanas everywhere with products that truly represent us.

On social, we celebrated by sharing stories of the inspiring women who joined us for our photoshoot in the Dominican Republic and put the spotlight on amazing Herencia moments—celebrating the powerful hermanas who continue to uplift our culture and community. To close out this incredible month, we had the honor of participating in the Latina Wellness Summit in Miami. It was an incredibly transformative event, and we were beyond grateful to be part of such a powerful space focused on wellness, community, and the empowerment of Latinas.
