We leave out coconut oil because it can cause buildup, weigh curls down, and trigger allergies. Instead, we use lighter, nourishing oils like sunflower, avocado, and marula—for bouncier, healthier curls.
Our founders grew up with mangos in the Dominican Republic, and now we use mango butter for its lightweight, vitamin-rich benefits. It softens dry hair, reduces breakage, and smooths split ends—without the heaviness of shea butter.
Hibiscus flowers filled our childhood, so we had to include their powerful benefits in our formulas. Rich in antioxidants and amino acids, hibiscus strengthens hair, promotes growth, reduces breakage, and enhances curl definition—naturally nourishing curls from root to tip.
I saw this company presented on The TODAY Show on TV and was impressed with their company mission and values, so I thought I would give it a try. I have tried so many different hyped up products promising miracle results and have been sorely disappointed, but OCOA has proven even better than expected. OCOA is lightweight, doesn’t have a chemical smell, and makes my curls defined and not frizzy even when I sleep on it and don’t wash my hair a second day. I originally thought to try Ocoa because it’s Latina owned and I hoped that it would be able to help with my own Latina blend of hair. I have a mix of curl patterns from looser curls on top to tighter corkscrew type spirals underneath and the entire Ocoa hairline makes all of my curls shine in their own light. At the very least I love using the shampoo, conditioner, and curl cream if I’m in a rush and it’ll look great but doing it all together with the curl gel too helps the curls stay solid for a good three days after. Love this entire line!

I literally can’t. There’s no other products at this moment that can give me this hair, only OCOA, my other favorite part is that the ingredients are so clean. If you have curls, do yourself a favor and try this products. Something I do notice is that they all work best TOGETHER.

I have fine hair that wants to curl but is easily weighed down with heavy gels or too much conditioner to detangle the fine strands. The curl definition conditioner does not weigh down the curls nor does the gel! I can use either or both depending on how much hold I need each day.

My order was shipped the same day I ordered. Love the gel and the crème, keeps my curls so soft, defined and not at all frizzy. I just mix the two products together and apply to my soaking wet hair and get perfect results every time. I will always recommend these products to anyone with curly hair :)
This bundle is a miracle worker. First of all its the first that doesn't irritate my scalp. It defines and moisturizes my curls. It doesn't cause flaking. My curls are bouncy and lasts me for a week. Love them and will keep repurchasing.

I love this combo. The leave in is very moisturizing but since I live in a place where the humidity is around 81% and higher I also need something that has hold. So I use the leave in, as a leave in, and use the gel on top of the leave in; allow to air dry about 80% and SOTC and diffuse and perfect curls that hold up in this humid weather and even holds up during a workout. For reference I have a mix of 3b & 3c, medium dense, high porosity, color treated curls.

I’m ALL in for supporting small businesses, especially Latina owned. However, it’s been years since I’ve had dandruff. To give you some insight on my curly hair journey, I have long 3c/3b hair type. Natural oils, curl cream, and leave-ins are my besties. For years I’ve searched for the right products that’ll define, rejuvenate, hydrate, and moisturize my curls and well I came across this brand and instantly fell in love with the history, background, and the story behind the brand - basically I hit that ‘buy now’ button immediately!
I enjoyed the smell but after a few uses of the curl cream + defining gel, I’ve noticed my hair felt extremely brittle, scalp was insanely dry and beyond noticeable. I want to love the products, but the ingredients are just not it.

Less is more with our conditioner — it’s very rich and hydrating, so even a small amount goes a long way in keeping curls moisturized.
